TRACK & FIELD

• Athletes may enter no more than three (3) events
• Athletes may combine running and field events.
• Events may be no more than 2 running events and 1 field event OR 2 field events and 1 running event

*Hammer does not count towards two throwing events*

• Masters athletes can choose to compete in the open or master division on an event by event basis. However, athletes cannot enter the same event in more than one division. Athletes who choose to enter events as an open or master must fill out the appropriate entry form. 

Rules

• USA Track and Field rules apply to all events
• USA Track and Field membership is not required to participate 
• If certain events are not allowed for athletes in their age group, they may move up one division in order to compete in that event. In this instance athletes will be competing as an athlete in the older age group, they will not be scored separately 
• An athlete cannot move up a division if the event is offered in the division in which they are eligible
• The top 3 finishers will receive the appropriate medal and an athlete gift.

Hurdles

• Girls and Women 100M High Hurdles - 33 in
• Girls and Women 400M Intermediate Hurdles - 30 in
• Boys 110M High Hurdles - 39 in
• Boys 400M Intermediate Hurdles - 36 in
• Men 110M High Hurdles - 42 in
• Men 400M Intermediate Hurdles - 36 in

Shot Put

• Girls and Women - 4 kgs
• Boys - 12 lbs
• Men - 16 lbs

The Bay State Games Track & Field competition will be sanctioned meets by USA Track and Field. The sanction number for the 2025 Bay State Games Track and Field competition is TBD

The 2025 Bay State Games Track and Field competition serves as a qualifier for the 2026 State Games of America. All medalists (gold, silver, and bronze) in this event will qualify for the 2026 State Games of America in State College, PA.

The 2026 State Games of America will be hosted by the Keystone State Games and Happy Valley Sports & Entertainment Alliance.
