The Bay State Games Charity Running Team gives runners the opportunity to raise funds for Bay State Games while running Portland's Premier Race. Complete the 5K or 13.1-mile course along the Maine coastline. Thanks to the support of Ventures Endurance, Bay State Games has opportunities available to run some of New England’s most scenic and iconic road races while raising funds to support the organization's numerous recreation and education based programs that annually impact thousands of participants of all ages and abilities. Each team member will be responsible for raising a minimum of $500, which includes the race registration fee.

Runners would be responsible to raise a minimum of $500 to receive guaranteed entry into the Maine Coast Marathon or the Maine Coast Half Marathon.

This year's Half Marathon and 5K race will take place June 7, 2025.

This race travels throughout Portland, Maine passing scenic landmarks like Casco Bay, Back Cove and historic Old Port Neighborhoods.

If you are interested in running the Shipyard Old Port Half Marathon and raising money to support important programming which benefits thousands of participants annually, applications are now being accepted. Go to the “join our team” link above to fill out an application to become a member of our team. Filling out the form does not automatically confirm your placement on the team. We will review applications and select team members on a rolling basis until the team is filled. Once you have received notice from the Bay State Games that you have been accepted onto our team, you will receive a team member agreement with additional information on our program. You will be required to sign and return this agreement as well as provide a credit card as collateral for your fundraising minimum.

FUNDRASING
- All Bay State Games team runners are required to raise a minimum of $500.
- All fundrasing must be done through the TBA fundrasing page. Each team member will be given a designated fundrasing page that links to the Bay State Games team page. Once accepted onto the team, your fundrasing page will be created.
- All funds must be raised by TBA
WHO CAN TAKE PART ON THE RUNNING TEAM?

Anyone is eligible to participate on the Bay State Games running team. The only requirement is to raise a minimum of $500.

There is NO race day packet pickup! Participants must pickup their bib and swag on either Thursday or Friday before the event or elect for packet mailing during the registration process.
