All officials at Bay State Games events are volunteers. Bay State Games utilizes 1,500 volunteers each year that help produce Massachusetts’ largest amateur athletic competition. All support staff of Bay State Games such as coaches, officials, timekeepers, and medical staff are volunteers. The strong tradition of volunteerism in Bay State Games has helped to shape the organization over the past decades. Without the support of volunteers, Bay State Games would not be able to provide programs for Massachusetts amateur athletes each and every year.
